How to make hibachi rice


Gather the ingredients

Add the rice and water to a pot and let it come to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes, with the lid on

In the meantime, finely chop the onion and set aside

Dice 5 baby carrots and set aside

Measure out the frozen peas and frozen corn and set aside

Crack 2 eggs and set aside

When the rice is ready, set it aside. Then, put enough canola oil into the wok to just cover the bottom. Next, heat on high heat

After the oil is heated, add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until they appear to be translucent. Be sure to stir it every so often

Next, add the corn, peas, and carrots. These take 3-4 minutes to cook, and remember to stir them! After a minute or so, add the sesame seeds

Add the eggs next

Add the rice and mix together thoroughly. This is when it starts to look appetizing!

Finally, add as much soy sauce as you prefer. Make sure to taste the rice as you add it, because soy sauce is salty!

Lastly, plate, eat and enjoy!
